Glory Emmanuella Appiah

Community Officer

Glory Emmanuella Appiah is an environmentalist and forestry management specialist with an interest in environmental management, and community-based forestry management.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental and Natural Resources and Management, and a Masters in Natural Resources Management, both from the Presbyterian University College in Abefiti, Eastern Region of Ghana.

Glory has a rich professional background, having served as a Trainee Forest Range Manager for Ghana’s Forestry Commission in Fanteakwa North District, Begoro. Her responsibilities included inspecting timber within permitted concessions and compartments, issuing log measurement certificates, and certifying timber for transport across regions. She also played a key role in tree enumeration and species identification and has successfully undertaken enrichment planting and modified taungya systems exercises under Agroforestry practices.

Glory’s true passion lies in fostering collaboration with fringe communities on wildlife conservation projects. This is a testament to her unwavering commitment to environmental preservation and her belief in the power of community engagement in sustainable practices.
