Public Health Nutrition and Sustainable Diets

Gizem is a dietitian with experience in clinical and public health nutrition. She holds an MSc from the UCL Division of Medicine and is working towards a PhD at the University College London (UCL) School of Pharmacy, funded by the UK Food Systems Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT). She also works as a postgraduate teaching assistant in obesity, public health, and clinical nutrition modules.

She represents Turkey as the youth ambassador for the European Cancer Leagues and is part of the Sustainable Diets Specialist Group of the British Dietetic Association.

Gizem’s research interests include public health nutrition, designing health promotion and nutrition programs in the primary health care setting, diet-related non-communicable diseases, sustainable diets, and behavioural science for changing dietary practices.
