Our Ecovillage

A 100-acre unspoiled rural landscape on the hills of Akwamu-Kwanyarko in the Eastern Region, less than 2 hours from Accra. Kwanyarko borders Juapong, a significant trading town in the district. Our goal is to grow food in a way that regenerates the soil and restores biodiversity while improving people’s livelihoods to reduce poverty.

The Vision

Our long-term vision is to create a space for regenerative living and intercultural hospitality. We will offer safe spaces and comfortable accommodations for those who want to unwind, destress, and rejuvenate while enjoying food produced on the land. The ecovillage will also be an ideal natural place for rural retreats, surrounded by beautiful views.

Our Core Value

At WildRain, community empowerment is not just a buzzword, it's our core value. We believe that true development happens when community members are given the tools and opportunities to improve their livelihoods. Since 2020, when we acquired the land for the ecovillage project, we have been actively engaging with the local community. We have already created over 20 jobs, both temporary and permanent, in tree planting, boundary management, and general land survey activities. Our aim is to continue this trend and employ the majority of our staff from the local village, ensuring that the benefits of the ecovillage are shared by all. Further, investment in infrastructure, such as road access linking our land to the Kwanyarko village, will stimulate growth in farming activities and food production, supporting the local economy and improving the livelihoods of farmers, market women, food traders, and households.
